Answers are slow

Why an answer can take time and what you can do.

Common causes

• Think mode, Deep Research or web search deliberately work longer;
• a long document, many attached files or connected apps take more time;
• at busy times model providers can answer more slowly (plans from Pro x2 have priority).

What you can do

1. Wait: the answer carries on on the server even if you close the app, and you find it in the chat.
2. If the top bar says “Can't reach the server, reconnecting…”, check your internet; the app reconnects on its own.
3. Turn off Think for faster answers to simple questions.
4. If an answer stops with an error, use Regenerate the answer.
